Letters From The Larvarium

Jade scorpion moth, Incarcha argentilinea

Found in Ecuador and Peru, the Jade Scorpion tries to act natural but ultimately succumbs to its theatrical nature.  Jade scorpion will initially settle holding its abdomen flat. Gradually the abdomen curls upward over the thorax and likewise the labial palpi sweep backward over its head.

Between the name and the pose, this moth was born to vogue.
